Understanding Image Viewer in VIDIZMO

VIDIZMO allows you to upload, save, view, and modify images as part of its comprehensive Digital Asset Management solution. To learn more about controlling image file processing and defining output rendition characteristics, see Understanding Image Processing.

Open an Image​

  1. From the portal homepage or media library page, select the image you want to view.
  2. The image playback page opens with the image viewer and its controls.

Image Viewer Controls​

The image viewer provides the following controls along the right side and bottom of the viewer area:

Zoom and Rotate​

  • Zoom In / Zoom Out Increase or decrease magnification to inspect finer details within the image. You can also use the mouse scroll wheel to zoom in and out.
  • Rotate Clockwise / Rotate Counter-Clockwise Adjust the image angle in 90-degree increments.
  • Drag and Pan When zoomed in, select and drag the image to navigate to different areas.

Fullscreen and Quality​

  • Fullscreen Expand the image to the full width and height of the screen for an optimal viewing experience.
  • Quality Select from multiple renditions in the overflow menu to match your bandwidth or viewing preference.

Annotations​

  • Annotate Select the annotations icon to turn the image into a canvas where you can pin short notes to highlight areas for collaborative assessment or review.
  • Reset Undo all changes (zoom, rotation, annotations) made to the image.
  • Show/Hide Annotations Toggle the display of annotations on or off to customize the viewing experience.

Image Navigation​

When multiple images are available, use the navigation arrows or the left and right arrow keys on your keyboard to move between images.

Translated Image Support​

If translated renditions are available, select from the language dropdown to switch between the original image and translated versions.

Information and Details Panel​

Select the window icon at the top-right corner of the image viewer to expand the right pane. This pane displays:

  • Media title, description, and other metadata.
  • Related media on the portal.

Select the comment icon at the bottom of the viewer to leave comments on the image.

Sharing Options​

  1. Select the window icon at the top right of the image viewer to expand the details pane.
  2. Select the Share icon to open sharing options.
  3. Enter an email address to send a media viewership request, or set a Limited Share license for a specific user. To learn more, see How to Perform Limited Share in EVCM.
  4. Alternatively, share via social platforms including Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and email.

Interactivity Options​

The details pane also provides the following options:

  • Favorite Save the image for later access in your portal.
  • Like Provide feedback on the image.
  • Download Download a local copy of the content file, if allowed by media settings.
  • Report Report an issue with the content.
  • Edit Settings Available for Moderator and above roles. Edit the media settings.
  • Statistics View media-related usage and viewership statistics.

These options depend on the media settings configured during upload.
